How long have you been running with KSB:
13 years and counting 

Why do you compete in Athletics and at KSB:
Athletics is my passion and KSB provides welcoming, encouraging and non-intimadting environment which supports that

Favourite Summer Event: 
3km steeple

Least Favourite Summer Event:
3km steeple (we have a love hate relationship)

Favourite Winter Event: 
Road Races + the McIntyre express bus trips

Least Favourite Winter Event:
Cross Country races (mud, hills and we grass = yuck!)

If you could make some changes to the Summer/winter competition, what would you do?
Summer: Aberfaldie needs some grandstands for shelter and Winter: Improve Melbournes miserable weather

Greatest bit of advice you have received?
Its not over until you have crossed the finish line

Greatest running tip you have received?
Vaseline. I use it for two main purposes (1) to prevent chaffing in long events such as the marathong and (2) i smear it on the thread of my steeple spikes to stop them from rusting in the socket.

What motivates you during a race?
Inner desires an my competitive nature

What motivates you during training on those cold winter mornings/nights?
To better myself as an athlete. The feeling of satisfaction and freedon running provides

Anything over 10km

Each and everyone of our athletes, coaches and officals. I must also make a special mention to Peter Gaffney

Loudest/ Most talkative member at the club:
It is a three way tie between Elise Aplin, Steph Kondogonis and Jess Kerlin

Former KSB club member Mitchel Brown

Hardest working member at Training:
Anyone that turns up. Unfortunately i am not one of those people. Oops!

Least hardest working member at Training:
Those SBC footballers who we are forced to share the oval with. Typical footy boys!

Lisa Stanton-Smith
