Australian Masters Games

Over the last weekend while some of our guys and gals were running the Melbourne Marathon and others providing drinks to the thousands of runners, three of our chronologically challenged athletes headed for the State of S.A and the Australian Masters Games.
KSB had some very successful names compete...
Lucas our oldest athlete in the men’s 75 to79 age group finished second in the 60 metres10.10 2nd in the 100metres 16.57 and 2nd in the 200 meters 34.39 all to Hughie Coogan the
current World Champion for these events. Hughie was in Sacramento where he won these events also.
Tania Kapetanovic women’s 40to 44 also did very well winning the 100 meters in 14.33 beating two highly regarded masters athletes one of whom had been to Sacramento for the World Championships. Tania also won the Javelin with a throw of 25.43 meters and finished 2nd in the 200 30.03 and 2nd in the 400 69.83.800 8th 2 59.45
Phil Robinson men’s 50 to54 age group finished 4th in the weight pentathlon with the following performances.
