Keilor Park Update 9 Aug 2010

Finance for the synthetic athletics track at KEILOR PARK has been obtained and thing are getting under way.
Expressions of interest for the construction closed last week, preferred constructors will be asked to tender in coming weeks.
Construction is scheduled to commence in mid December and will take up to 20 weeks.

KSB committee members have been involved in the proposed design of the facility in conjunction with Keilor Little Athletics (KLAC).
We also have ongoing discussions with KLAC with regard to the shared use of what should be an excellent facility for track and field athletics.
The club committee is considering the many opportunities and challenges that the new track will provide.

The committee is sure that the new track will be of great benefit to athletics across the north west of Melbourne.
